Historic Kona Tour

Historic Kona Tour

Take a trip back in time to Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park, an ancient Hawaiian village of refuge for kapu (forbidden law) breakers. We will take you to Kealakekua Bay, an underwater preserve and monument to Captain Cook.  This is where he sailed in as the god, Lono, proved a mere mortal and was slain.  Praise his soul at St. Benedict’s, a tiny church Belgian priests painted to be a grand cathedral. Finally we will visit the Kona coffee factory where the brew is as rich as the history experienced on this tour.

Please book your reservation with the ship 24 hours prior to tour time to ensure you are at pier side in time for your tour pick up. Inform the ship staff that you require a tender reservation (a tender reservation is a reservation with another vessel that will transport you from the ship to pier side.)
